La Cité des Vents

by AORLHAC

supported by
Peter Rabbit

Peter Rabbit Good french meloblack that draws inspiration from occitan traditions and culture. The acoustic pseudo medieval passages help in differentiating their sound from the pack, and I wouldn't mind if they used them more often. Still, a solid record. Favorite track: Les Enfants des Limbes.

Eric Aorlhac have a good sense of melody and composition and have proven themselves to be torchbearers of all the best elements from second-wave bm. The Cathar/Occitane theme appeals to the historian in me as well. Once again, the French bm scene is proven to be excellent!

IDE Masterpiece! One of the best medieval melodic black metal. Flood of unbelievable melody and unpredictable composition!
★★ Favorite track: Le Bûcher des Cathares.
